Kraxlfels – the family gem near the Anhalterhütte

Just a few minutes’ walk from the Anhalterhütte, directly below the 601 hiking trail towards Tschachaun/Tarrentonalm/Nassereith, lies the Anhalter Kraxlfels.
The easy and uncomplicated access, the excellent signposting and the close proximity to the hut make the climbing area an ideal destination for families with children.

Twenty varied routes, ranging in difficulty from 3 to 6c, await climbers on solid rock. Despite their manageable length, the short routes – some of which are quite boulder-oriented – demand considerable effort and thus offer even experienced climbers exciting technical challenges. At the same time, the very closely spaced, standard-compliant protection allows for a safe and relaxed introduction to rock climbing, making it the perfect climbing spot for the entire family. With the comfortable, moss-covered green base of the wall next to the refreshing little stream, the conditions are, all in all, ideal for climbing enthusiasts of all ages.
